1 tsp Pepper Powder
1 tsp Pani Puri Masala
to taste Salt
2 piece Lemon
3 cups Cold Water
For the Filling:
2 piece Potatoes (boiled and chopped)
1/2 cup Soaked Moong (can be boiled for 5-6 minutes)
1/2 cup Soaked Boondi
Seasoning: Black salt and cumin seed powder (to taste)
Additional Ingredients:
Puffed Puri: As required
Date & Tamarind Chutney: As per your preference
Step 1— Prepare the Tangy Flavored Water
1
In a blender, combine chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, mint leaves, cumin seed powder, black salt, pepper powder, pani puri masala, salt, and lemon juice.
2
Add a little water and grind all ingredients into a smooth paste.
3
Transfer the paste to a bowl, add ice-cold water, and mix well. Strain the mixture, then refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours to let the flavors infuse.
4
Right before serving, add a few ice cubes to keep the water chilled.
Step 2— Prepare the Filling
1
In a bowl, combine chopped boiled potatoes with soaked moong (which can be boiled for 5-6 minutes if preferred) and soaked boondi.
2
Add a little black salt and cumin seed powder to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
Step 3— Assembly
1
Take a puffed puri and make a small hole in the top to create space for the filling.
2
Spoon the potato-moong filling into the puri. Add a little date and tamarind chutney according to your taste, then pour the prepared tangy water into the puri and enjoy immediately.
